Flavorsome Barbecue Chicken Pizza

Welcome to a delightful culinary journey at Styled Biz and Home! Today, I'm excited to share a recipe that holds a special place in my heart - my homemade version of a barbecue chicken pizza, the Flavorsome Barbecue Chicken Pizza. This pizza topping is my personal spin on my favorite pizza flavor, crafted with love and a few choice ingredients. In our house, I have a home made pizza that we call 'gourmet pizza' and I'm happy to say that my family agrees that this new barbecue chicken pizza topping is another kind of pizza that belongs in our family's gourmet pizza category.

A barbecue chicken pizza is my favorite pizza among a few others:) The fusion of succulent chicken, tangy barbecue sauce, and melting cheese is simply unbeatable. While I enjoy it from my go-to pizza joint, I felt inspired to create a homemade version that I could relish anytime, right from the warmth of my own kitchen. I happen to have enough pizza flour and I had one chicken breast sitting in my fridge. I actually was wondering the day before whether I should just freeze the chicken breast because I haven't got a recipe in mind for it. Well, it found itself in a new recipe, as a barbecue chicken pizza topping.

The quality of this pizza lies in its carefully chosen ingredients. I used our Easy Home Made Pizza Sauce for the pizza base sauce. I also used  Masterfoods Barbecue Sauce (to drizzle on the toppings) because of its rich and concentrated flavor that adds a unique depth to the pizza. The toppings include a vibrant medley of green and red bell peppers or capsicums (as we call them here in Australia) sautéed onions, and for an enhanced topping, I suggest using 3/4 cup of sliced and cooked mushrooms. The outcome is a pizza that's not only a treat to the taste buds but also a visual delight. With its wholesome home made taste and the convenience of making it at home, this pizza flavor will be a nice addition to your home made pizza creations, perfect to use for either shop- bought or home made pizza base.

Below is the recipe for our flavor packed pizza topping that is home made and budget-friendly.

1.Preparing the chicken

Mix the marinade ingredients in a small dish and add in the chicken. evenly coat the chicken with the marinade, cover, and keep in the fridge for 30 minutes.

After marinating, cook the chicken in a hot pan for 8 minutes, stirring often to keep the chicken from burning.

Turn off the heat, place the chicken on a cutting board and slice into smaller pieces. Transfer the chicken on a plate and set aside.

2. Preparing the oven: Place the oven rack slightly above the middle rack of the oven and preheat oven to 210 C for thick pizza bases or follow the package instruction for your shop-bought pizza base.

3. Evenly spread the green capsicum, then the red capsicum on the pizza base.

4. Optional: Add the mushrooms (if using).
